WHAT TO WEAR ... WHAT TO WEAR

All students are required to wear proper clothing to dance class. Regulation dance attire allows the best freedom of movement for all dancers and gives their teacher the best view of body alignments for correction. It also adds a professional appear dance to class.

Female Dancers:

Ballet - Solid colored leotard, pink tights, and pink ballet shoes. Hair should be secured back and off the neck, preferably in a bun. Technique only students are required to wear a black leotard, black sports bra, and a bun.

Jazz - Sports bra, half top, crop top, tank top, leotard, dance shorts, leggings, and jazz shoes. Dance sneakers will only be allowed for hip hop classes and working out.
Technique only students are not allowed to wear athletic shorts or joggers/sweatpants.

Tap - Same attire as jazz with tap shoes.

Male Dancers:

Ballet – A fitted t-shirt, solid colored shorts or joggers/sweatpants, and black ballet shoes.

Jazz - Same attire as ballet with black jazz shoes. Dance sneakers will only be allowed for hip hop classes and working out.

Tap - Same attire as jazz with tap shoes.

GUARDIAN OBSERVATION DAYS

Viewing areas are open the entire month of September. After that they will remain closed except for the following dates: October 9th-14th, January 6th-11th, and May 6th-11th. Guardian Observation Days will be twice a year in which guardians will be able to view classes from a TV in the lobby and the lunchroom. These dates are December 4th-9th and March 4th-9th. Guardians may also sit in technique classes during these two dates.

HOLIDAYS OR BAD WEATHER

Holidays will generally follow school schedules. Holidays will be posted prior to holiday periods. The studio will not necessarily close for snow days, regardless of if the area schools are closed, since many times roads are clear and safe by 2:00pm. Check on the Team App and social media for studio closings or if in doubt call the studio for information, (636) 447-3365. Snow days will also be made up over DCPAC's spring break.

Newsletter

Dance Connection Performing Arts Center issues a Newsletter the first week of each month on our website at www.stldcpac.net. In addition to the Newsletter notices, important information is posted as well on our Team App. Check these notices frequently to stay up to date.

Annual Showcase Performance

Each dancer is invited to perform in our Annual Recital Showcase in June. We feel that a yearly dance production is an important part of your child's training. Through the performance experience, your child will gain confidence in themselves, learn to follow stage directions, and learn that through hard work and teamwork great things can be accomplished. At the end of each dance season our students will perform what they have learned in our Showcase. This is the highlight of the dancer's year as they learn to present themselves in front of an audience and gain self-confidence.

Annual Showcase Colors:

Annual Showcase Colors: Green, Blue, Purple, and Yellow. What are these Showcase colors? Dance Connection Performing Arts Center splits our performances into multiple shows. This will keep the show a more reasonable length and provide more tickets per family. The only disadvantage to having multiple shows is if a family has students that will be performing in more than one show, then multiple sets of tickets need to be purchased. While we can't prevent that, what we can do is let you know up front what show each class will be performing in. This way, our customers can try to enroll their children in classes that will be performing in the same show. We currently have three shows scheduled.

Students on the Company may perform in any or all of the shows. If you have siblings in different shows, then you will need to purchase tickets for both shows.

TUITION

Tuition is payable on a monthly basis in advance and is due the first lesson of each month. The tuition remains the same regardless of how many lessons are in the month. Most months have four lessons, some have five, and December has three due to the holidays. Tuition is non-refundable and non-transferable. There will be a $25.00 charge for any checks that are returned. There will be no reduction in tuition for cancelled lessons due to bad weather. Tuition will remain the same and make-up lessons will be available when the weather permits. There are no deductions for missed lessons however, missed lessons may be made-up in another class. If dropping from a class or classes, then a 30-day written notice is required.
DCPAC Group

DISCOUNTS

There is a 20% discount to each child enrolled after the first child from the same family. This applies to class fees only. It does not apply to the registration fee or private lessons.

 COMPANY

The award-winning Dance Connection Performing Arts Center Company is comprised of approximately 75 dancers who are chosen each year by audition. The members are a dedicated group performing not only at conventions and competitions, but also at other functions in the area, purely for the love of dance.
